# How to Navigate the FORXEA Trading Platform Efficiently

> A practical walkthrough of the FORXEA platform layout, key navigation areas, and tips for moving efficiently between markets and tools.

FORXEA's interface is designed to keep everything you need within reach — whether you're monitoring live prices, analysing charts, or placing orders. This guide walks you through the main sections of the platform so you can find what you need quickly and build a confident, efficient workflow from day one.

## Main Navigation Areas

FORXEA's layout is divided into four distinct zones, each serving a specific purpose. Understanding what lives where helps you move through the platform without losing your focus on the market.

### Top Navigation Bar

The top bar runs across the full width of the platform and gives you instant access to account-level controls:

* **Search** — click the search icon or press `/` to find any instrument by name or ticker.
* **Notifications** — the bell icon shows real-time alerts for price moves, trade confirmations, and system messages.
* **Settings** — access platform preferences, appearance options, and display settings.
* **Account Menu** — click your avatar to reach your profile, account settings, and the logout option.

### Left Sidebar

The left sidebar is your primary navigation rail. Use it to move between the platform's core sections:

* **Markets** — browse and filter all available instruments across every asset class.
* **Watchlist** — your personalised list of instruments you want to monitor closely.
* **Portfolio** — a live view of your open positions, margin usage, and account balance.
* **Trade History** — a full log of your filled, pending, and cancelled orders.

### Main Content Area

The main content area takes up the centre of the screen and adjusts based on the instrument or tool you have open:

* **Charts** — interactive price charts with customisable indicators and timeframes.
* **Order Panel** — the interface for placing and modifying orders on the selected instrument.
* **Market Depth** — an order book view showing queued bids and asks at each price level.

### Right Panel

The right panel provides at-a-glance context without requiring you to leave your current view:

* **Open Positions** — a compact summary of your live trades, including unrealised P\&L.
* **Watchlist Quick-View** — live prices for your starred instruments, updated in real time.

## Using Search

Search is the fastest way to jump to any instrument on the platform, regardless of which section you're currently in.

1. Click the search icon in the top navigation bar, or press `/` from anywhere on the platform.
2. Type the instrument name (for example, "Apple") or its ticker symbol (for example, "AAPL").
3. Select the instrument from the dropdown results list to open its chart and details.

## Switching Between Markets

The **Markets** tab in the left sidebar gives you access to FORXEA's full instrument universe, organised by asset class.

* **Browse by category** — select from Equities, Forex, Indices, Commodities, or Crypto to filter the list to a specific market.
* **Use filters** — narrow results further by region, exchange, trading hours, or other attributes using the filter controls at the top of the list.
* **Star an instrument** — click the star icon next to any instrument to add it to your Watchlist for quick access later.

## Keyboard Shortcuts

Keyboard shortcuts let you navigate the platform and trigger actions without reaching for your mouse. The table below covers the most useful shortcuts to learn first.
